Running a oil NOT designed for engines using a WET CLUTCH can adversely effect the plates. Diesel is NOT designed for wet clutch systems the addative package makes the difference. Use a motorcycle spec oil. I have racked up 60,000 miles on various bikes running this oil. Currently run it in my 04 R1 and the wife's CBR954RR and her FZR 600.

The only reason I can think of is if you're willing to pay for Maxima Extra which is around $18/qt. That's the only MC specific oil I've run in my bikes that didn't perceivably degrade at all. But yeah now that Rotella T6 15W40 is a thing, it's pretty much my go to MC oil.
